Dreams and the Bible ยท Part 4 of 7
You wake up remembering a dream clearly. It may have comforted you, confused you, or left you unsettled. Here are five grounded ways to respond.
1. Record what you remember
Write down the main events and feelings. Keep the description separate from your interpretation.
2. Pray for wisdom
Ask God to guide you through His Word and give you peace. Prayer is not a way to force a hidden meaning out of every experience.
3. Reflect honestly
Ask whether current pressures, memories, or unresolved concerns may be affecting you.
4. Test interpretations
Any spiritual interpretation should agree with Scripture. Seek a mature Christian leader who will listen and help you think carefully, not frighten or control you.
5. Take a wise next step
If reflection shows you need to forgive, apologise, prepare better, or address a real concern, take that practical step. Do not make major decisions based on a dream alone.
A short prayer
Father, give me wisdom and peace. Help me understand my experiences in the light of Your Word. Keep me from fear and hasty conclusions. In Jesusโ name, Amen.
