Dreams and the Bible ยท Part 2 of 7
A vivid dream can leave you worried long after you wake up. You may wonder if it predicts a problem. Scripture invites us to be thoughtful rather than fearful.
Dreams can reflect daily concerns
Ecclesiastes 5:3 connects dreams with the many concerns and activities of life. Memories, emotions, stress, and experiences can influence what we dream about. A dream about losing money, for example, does not prove financial loss is coming.
Do not turn uncertainty into fear
Not every dream is a prophecy, warning, or sign of spiritual attack. A dream alone is not enough evidence to accuse someone, predict tragedy, or make a major life decision. Pray, reflect on current concerns, and seek wise counsel if needed.
Let Scripture be your foundation
Do not let speculation about a dream distract you from what Scripture clearly teaches about love, truth, forgiveness, and wisdom. If recurring dreams affect your sleep or daily life, consider speaking with a healthcare professional or counsellor.
Remember: You can pray about a dream without believing something bad is about to happen.
