Apostle Levi Mahemu received a vision from God at just 18 years old. It sat with him for years, taking shape quietly, until the COVID lockdown became an unexpected season of preparation. While the world stood still, God was refining the vision and getting it ready for its moment.
The vision was simple: win souls and transform communities.
Body of Christ International Church started in a dining room at 74 Mugoriondo with 7 people. Apostle Mahemu and Prophetess N. Mahemu led together from the beginning, believing God for something bigger than the room they were standing in. Prophetess Mahemu began building a praise and worship team, and by faith, they put up a structure outside to house the growing gathering.
People started coming. Then more came. Within a year or two, the church outgrew every space it touched. They moved to Area J Hall, believing God for the same thing all over again, and once more, by faith, people kept coming.
What began with 7 people in a dining room is now a church growing in speed and in grace, carried forward by the same vision God planted 18 years ago: to win souls and transform communities.
Our Mission
To win souls and transform communities, one life, one home, one neighborhood at a time.
Our Vision
We’re building a church that reaches beyond its walls. Our vision is to raise up 100 leaders who carry this same calling, plant new branches across Harare, Goromonzi, Domboshava, and Mutoko, and see thousands of lives transformed through the gospel. We believe in a church that doesn’t just gather people, but sends them out equipped to disciple, serve, and lead.
From a dining room with 7 people to a growing, multi-branch ministry, we’re still standing on the same foundation: God’s people, transformed by grace, transforming the world around them.
Our Leadership
Apostle Levi Mahemu carries the vision God gave him at 18 years old, a calling to win souls and transform communities. He leads Body of Christ International Church with a heart for discipleship, leadership development, and building systems that help ordinary people grow into their God-given purpose.
Prophetess N. Mahemu leads alongside him, building the church’s praise and worship ministry from the ground up and shaping the spiritual atmosphere that has carried the church through every season of growth.
Together, they’ve led BCI from a dining room of 7 people to a growing, multi-branch ministry, always by faith, always believing for more.
