Many believers want a stronger relationship with God but wait for the perfect time, a long quiet morning, or a sudden feeling of inspiration. A steady spiritual life is usually built through small choices repeated faithfully.
Start with what you can sustain
Mark 1:35 shows Jesus making time to pray. A quiet time does not need to be complicated. Choose a realistic time, read a short passage of Scripture, speak honestly to God, and write down one truth you want to practise.
Read to understand and obey
Do not rush through chapters just to finish a target. Ask: What does this passage show me about God? What should I believe, change, or do? Keep a short note of what you learn and return to it during the day.
When you miss a day
Do not let one missed morning become a week of discouragement. Begin again at the next opportunity. Consistency is not perfection; it is returning to what matters.
Prayer
Father, help me make room for Your Word and prayer. Give me understanding, a willing heart, and strength to obey what You teach me. Amen.
Action: Set aside ten minutes today. Read Psalm 23, pray honestly, and choose one truth to practise.
