There are problems money cannot solve. There are battles advice cannot solve. There are moments when even the people who love you cannot carry what is happening inside your Moyo.
This is where we must understand what it means to look to Jesus.
Jesus Does Not Promise a Life Without Problems
Jesus said in John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Christianity is not a promise that trouble will never come. It is the assurance that trouble does not have the final word when our lives are in Christ.
Jesus Gives Peace
Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us to bring our requests to God in prayer, with thanksgiving. The result is the peace of God guarding our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Sometimes the first miracle God does is not changing the situation outside you. It is giving you strength and peace while you walk through it.
Jesus Gives Wisdom
James 1:5 tells us that anyone who lacks wisdom should ask God, who gives generously.
So before panic makes the decision, pray. Before fear chooses the direction, seek God. Before anger answers, wait on the Lord.
Jesus Changes the Person Facing the Problem
The Lord can open doors, provide resources, heal broken places and deliver people from bondage. But He also works in us while we wait.
Hama yangu, your problem may be big, but do not make the problem bigger than your God. Bring it to Jesus. Pray. Obey Scripture. Seek godly counsel. Do the work that wisdom requires. Then trust God with what is beyond your control.
Your answer may come through provision. It may come through wisdom. It may come through deliverance. It may come through endurance and a changed heart. Whatever form it takes, keep your eyes on Christ.
Jesus is not merely an emergency contact. He is Lord over every area of your life.
