Some Sundays you wake up tired. The week was long, the bills were loud, and the couch looks kind. This Sunday, get up anyway. God has something waiting for you in His house.
David knew that gladness. He wrote, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD” (Psalm 122:1, KJV). It’s not about a building. It’s about meeting God with His people.
Why we gather
The Bible doesn’t treat church as optional. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is.” Some had already stopped coming back then. The Word calls us to stay close, “and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Jesus made a promise to every gathering, big or small. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). When we come together, He is in the room. Not near the room. In it.
Come as you are
You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Bring the heavy week. Bring the questions. Bring the prayer you’ve been afraid to say out loud.
The early church shows us the way. They met “with one accord,” ate “with gladness and singleness of heart,” and “the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:46-47). That same God is still adding to His church today.
A church close to your community
If you live in Mufakose, Budiriro, Glen View, Kuwadzana or Kambuzuma, our main service is close to you. If you live in Domboshava, Hatcliffe, Sally Mugabe, Mverechena or around the Showgrounds, our Domboshava branch is your church home.
Wherever you stay, there’s a seat for you. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). Come and feel it.
Bring someone with you
Church grows when people invite people. In Luke 14:23, the master said, “that my house may be filled.” Think of one neighbor, one cousin, one colleague who needs a warm welcome. A simple “come with me” can change a whole family’s story.
