There are mornings when staying in feels easier. The week has been long, and your body is tired. But there’s a pull in the spirit that says, “Come.” This Sunday, answer it.
David said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD” (Psalm 122:1, KJV). He didn’t treat gathering as a duty. He treated it as a joy, and we’re praying that joy fills the house on Sunday.
Why we gather
We gather because God designed us to grow together. “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another” (Hebrews 10:24-25, KJV). Someone in that room needs your encouragement, and you may need theirs.
We gather because Jesus promised to meet us there. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20, KJV). You aren’t just attending a service. You’re stepping into His presence.
We gather because the early church did, and God moved. “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42, KJV). Teaching, fellowship, communion and prayer are still the heartbeat of our Sunday.

What to expect
Come ready for worship, the Word, and prayer. Come with your burdens, because “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, KJV). Bring your family, your friends, and the neighbour who has been asking where you worship. Isaiah saw a day when people would say, “Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD” (Isaiah 2:3, KJV). Be the one who says it first.
“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand” (Psalm 84:10, KJV).
