There are things God has assigned to your life that will not happen until you take your place. Your presence matters. Your obedience matters. Your understanding of who you are in Christ matters.
God has a purpose for your life, but purpose requires participation. You can’t ask God to do everything while you remain passive about what He has instructed you to do.
Your Presence Allows What God Has Assigned to Happen
โOne thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after…โ Psalm 27:4 KJV.
There are places you need to be. There are prayers you need to pray. There are people you need to reach. There are responsibilities you need to carry.
Sometimes the difference between what God wants to accomplish and what actually happens is simply whether the person He assigned to it shows up.
Hebrews 3:3-4 reminds us that every house is built by someone. God is building something through your life, your family, your ministry, your business and your assignment.
Don’t be absent from what God has called you to build.

Know what you are looking for. Know what comes first.
Jesus said, โBut seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…โ Matthew 6:33 KJV.
A person who doesn’t know what they are seeking will spend their life chasing everything. But when you know what comes first, many decisions become easier.
Seek God first. Not because everything else doesn’t matter, but because everything else must find its proper place under God.
Know Who You Are in Christ
Revelation 1:6 says Christ has made us kings and priests unto God.
Most believers don’t fully understand who they are in Christ. They know they are saved, but they don’t understand their responsibility. They know they are children of God, but they don’t understand their authority. They know they are called, but they don’t understand that calling comes with responsibility.
Know who you are.
Stop introducing yourself only by your problems. Stop defining yourself by your past. Stop allowing people’s opinions to become your identity.
You belong to Christ. You have an assignment. You have a responsibility. Take your place.
Never Use Logic on a Spiritual Instruction
One of the easiest ways to miss a spiritual instruction is to try to explain it using natural logic.
God may tell you to do something that doesn’t make sense to you. That’s where obedience becomes important.
The power of a Christian is in obeying instructions.
Naaman had to dip himself in the Jordan. Peter had to let down the net. Abraham had to leave his country. Again and again in Scripture, the instruction came before the manifestation.
Sometimes we miss what God has prepared because we are trying to make spiritual instructions make natural sense.
Faith says: โIf God said it, I will obey it.โ
Not every instruction will make sense before obedience. Some things only become clear after you obey.
Logic Can Make You Miss Your Blessing
1 Peter 1:5-6 speaks about believers being kept by the power of God through faith.
Your responsibility is not to understand everything God is doing. Your responsibility is to trust Him and remain faithful.
There are moments when your circumstances will tell you, โThis cannot work.โ But faith says, โGod is still God.โ
Don’t allow human logic to cancel divine instruction.
Waiting Is a Condition of the Heart, Not an Excuse to Be Lazy
Waiting on God doesn’t mean doing nothing. There is a difference between waiting for God and being idle.
While you’re waiting for the door to open, prepare yourself.
- While you’re waiting for the marriage, become the person who can sustain the marriage.
- While you’re waiting for the ministry to grow, build the systems.
- While you’re waiting for financial increase, become disciplined with what is already in your hands.
- While you’re waiting for the opportunity, develop your capacity.
Your season of waiting should also be a season of preparation.
Don’t waste your waiting season. Pray. Study. Build. Serve. Learn. Train. Evangelise. Prepare. Grow.
When the door opens, you should not be starting your preparation. You should be ready.
My Role. My Responsibility.
There is a part that only God can do. And there is a part He has entrusted to you.
Don’t confuse the two.
Pray, but obey. Believe, but work. Wait, but prepare. Trust God, but take responsibility.
Your presence matters. Your obedience matters. Your identity matters. Your responsibility matters.
Ziva chekutsvaga. Ziva chekutanga kuisa pekutanga.
And when God gives you an instruction, don’t allow logic to talk you out of obedience.
Take your place. Do your part. Let God do His part.
